Successful businessman: Mark currently owns and runs three businesses, two of which give him a residual income that takes care of his family’s needs. Mark sees an opportunity to make significant differences in Wisconsin with this experience to make our state an even more desirable place to live and work.
Personal history: Mark was born in 1965 to David and Nona Todd and grew up with 2 brothers and 2 sisters in the small town of Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He has enjoyed athletics from a young age. He excelled especially in wrestling where he won a state championship title in 1982. Mark went on to train for the Olympics in 1990 for the 1992 Olympics.
Education: Mark graduated from Marquette University with a BA degree of public speaking and interpersonal communications.
Dedicated family man: Mark and his wife Karie were married in 1995 and have been blessed with four very energetic boys, ages 3, 6, 8, and 11. We are very excited to be expecting another baby this summer. Mark and Karie also believe they have four children awaiting them in heaven who have died due to miscarriage.
Volunteer and ministry work: Mark spent several years “giving back” to the community and our young people. As a young man he worked with a mentor in Kenosha, buying out drug and prostitute houses and transforming them into homes for poor and handicapped residents. Mark then spent 3 years in two youth and young adult ministries, National Evangelization Teams (NET) and St. Paul Outreach (SPO), where he enjoyed evangelizing and discipling people to help them draw closer to God. He then started his own ministry called the National Chastity Team in which he brought a core group of young adults together (including professional football players, baseball players, models, and cheerleaders) who spoke about sexual purity. As a continuation of this ministry he produced and directed a video that he was able to donate and distribute to a great number of private high schools throughout the nation.
