We are witnessing the staggering frequency of collapses in the family structure.  Solid families and the numerous individuals that support them are the core of what a society needs to continue successfully.  Immoralities such as abortion, euthanasia, and pornography are severely threatening the family’s foundation.

Family disintegration and the unacceptable avoidance of taking personal responsibility are key contributing reasons for crime and violence.  Strong, appropriate penalties for criminals and adequate funds for our law enforcement are essential.  I believe our criminals receive a significant number of “perks” while in prison that end up costing us greatly.  Just one example is the entertainment/recreation privileges they receive; many very hard-working people in this state can’t afford these non-necessities.  Many kinds of media can also break down their already damaged consciences even further, which can likely cause even more violence to victims in the future.  I believe we need to punish criminals, not reward them.  The criminal is indebted to society, not society to the criminal.  I also firmly believe that the lightest sentences should not be given to the defendants who have the most financial resources to have the best legal defense.
